My absolute favorite pair of pants, now with large "air pocket". ... Not really wanted but now, sadly, as shown in the pictures. They may perhaps be a good dressing of leather cutter again or they simply take the appropriate events.

Found on Flickr, some of these were also on the now gone cuff.dk site (same owner?)
The uniforms shown are no longer used, at least not usually, as they have moved to textile/kevlar outfits.
Not sure if this is due to cost or practicality.
This is quality leather and would be quite costly - but does last many years with a little care.

Hard to believe but Terminator 2 was released way back in 1991.
It's been on TV so often it's hard to bother watching through anymore - but Arnold in his leathers is a truly iconic movie image.
The special effects were ground breaking then, and would look impressive if it were released today.

The new Terminator Salvation film seems to have some tantalizing leathery moments too.
I have downloaded it, must get around to watching to see more of this!

Interesting to see these fairly recent photos with police out on the street in full leather.
Although they may ride motorcycles too, the leather seems to be worn as much for protection from the cold when outside for hours.

The first one is from Canada, the other three are from Germany, probably before WW2.
Early vehicles were frequently very open and any proper heating was rare.
The leather uniforms must have been a great improvement in all but the most severe conditions.
